Not only was it only the second time all year Steen hasn't scored, it was also just the second time all year that the Steen-Backes-Oshie line was outplayed. You can't use back-to-back as an excuse either because Killorn-Stamkos-St. Louis played the night before in Carolina. They were just better than their Blues counterparts.

I was at the game tonight. I will say this team was the most consistent of the West teams that have played in Tampa at the forum (Kings, Wild, Hawks, and your Blues). I like their 5 on 5 style but tonight it seemed our forwards were able to use their speed to get odd man rushes from the neutral zone.

I wouldn't worry about your team from what I saw. Big Ben stone walled you on a few occasions especially on a break away or two, thanks for not keeping him we are glad to have him. Lastly, I hope you all saw Stamkos's nasty toe drag goal... I must admit I love that he is in Tampa.

Good luck in the west.

At the deadline, Jagr to an all in St. Louis for Sobotka? Yes, no? It might make the Blues a bit less physically imposing, but my thought was that he'd bring that veteran scoring the Bruins saw in him last year.

No way the blues move sobotka. Way to valuable.

Blues played a good game last night. Bishop made some crazy saves, though Halak did too. I am not disappointed with this loss

Fair enough, I didn't know how valuable he was to you guys/if he was in your long term plans. I saw he was on the 4th line and thought he has a bit of a high price tag for that role, but I do like him a lot as a player. NJ is doomed forever.

Great game last night.

I have a ton of respect for what the Blues have done as an organization over the last few years, and it was nice to beat a team that I consider upper-tier.
